It baffles me that most of these men and women don't even understand how the internet works and yet want to restrict it. You make a great point about the fact that stealing- "stealing"- material on tapes was never really on the radar of Congress. Just wait. I'm sure they'll decide that Wikipedia is breaking some nonexistent law and the government will shut it down because it encourages too much internet independence, and thus encourages speaking up when things are wrong, something the government can't have.
